Christ Like Entertainment catches up with the CEO
of PrayingPeople.com, Deloris
Smith

CLE: So, Deloris,
tell me a little bit about you.
PP: I was born and raised in Jacksonville
and married to Michael Smith for
9 years and I have 3 boys.
CLE: How have you
changed spiritually over the past
few years?
PP: I have grown closer to God
by trusting in him, studying his
word, walking in obedience, and
praying, but mainly trusting in
what God says.
CLE: You recently
received some big news…prayingpeople.com
has come alive. Can you explain
to me exactly what PrayingPeople.com
is about?
PP: Prayingpeople.com is a group
of individuals that are going
to God on someone else’s
behalf…that are actually
interceding for others…trusting
and believing in what God can
do and being obedient in our life.
CLE: Explain your
take on intercessory prayer.
PP: Intercessory prayer is James
5:16, confessing your faults one
to another, that you may be healed.
The effectual fervent prayer of
a righteous man availeth much…That
is what it is to me. Intercessory
prayer…standing in the gap.
CLE: So, how did
it all begin?
PP: It all began with faithful,
God fearing individuals loving
the things of God, loving the
people of God and wanting to go
on there behalf before God . The
word of God says we need to pray
for one another. We had a small
group coming together with Monday
night bible study and my nephew,
Edward, came up with the idea
of getting up at 5:30 in the morning
and getting on a prayer line and
going to God on behalf of others.
It grew from one day to almost
a year now. Now people start requesting
by calling and by email and God
gave us the vision to take it
further than just our group.
CLE: What was the
motivation behind prayingpeople.com?
PP: Holy Spirit…we were
led by the Holy Spirit.
CLE: How did you
come up with the name?
PP: My nephew actually came up
with the name.
CLE: When
can people look forward to accessing
prayingpeople.com?
PP: They can actually access praying
people.com 24 hrs and day 7 days
a week by calling the 800 number.
The website will be accessible
in the near future.
